Global Rigging and Transport was contracted to assemble, test and commission one Stacker/Reclaimer for the Port of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama. As part of the assembly GRT offloaded and transported the sections of the Stacker/Reclaimer from the ship to the assembly site; nearly two miles. The larger pieces, up to 75 tons, were transported using GRT's two heavy duty rough terrain transport trucks with custom transport frames and hydraulic dollies. Global Rigging & Transport personnel successfully performed all tasks within their scope of supply and were also able to offer suggestions and assistance to other parties involved.
