Barge Crane

250 Ton Floating Crane - Global Rigging and Transport (GRT) operates a crane barge for specialized projects in Vancouver, BC and throughout the Pacific Northwest. Used largely for loading and unloading specialized cargo, the barge crane is also used for marine salvage operations. In addition to an inventory of shackles, slings and rigging supplies, GRT has developed a unique spreader system that takes two variable length spreader bars and connects them to make one unit capable of lifting 250 tons. If your job is in or around the water, Global Rigging and Transport has the crane to help you out.

The Big Johnson was designed, fabricated and built by Global Rigging & Transport personnel. She is currently stationed in Vancouver, BC, Canada and serves the Pacific Northwest.  The capacity of the Big Johnson is 250-short tons, lift capacity at 44 foot radius with 117 foot of lift height. She has the capability of a 65 ton lift at 113 foot radius with 43 foot of lift height.  The crane is mounted on a 164' X 55' X 12' steel barge registered in Canada with a 4 point mooring system.
