CRANE RELOCATION GRT has transported, assembled and/or modified over 250 Container Cranes, Shipyard cranes and other large marine structures. We have a range of services when it comes to moving Container Cranes including slide backs, localized port movements, and complete port relocations. We have equipment and systems that can be assembled in vacant areas to minimize disruptions to daily port activities. In combination with the heavy lift and transportation logistics, GRT engineers provide you with the sea-fastening details and equipment, structural analysis of the vessel and cargo, as well as the loading and ballast plans. CRANE MODIFICATIONS Global Rigging & Transport has completed numerous crane modifications that include replacing trolley and festoon rails, wire ropes, mechanical refurbishing, structural repairs, flame strengthening, and electrical controls. In preparation for each project, we do our best to identify and utilize any of the resources available from our clients, and from the project location. LOAD TESTING GRT provides both static and operational load testing and certification for all types of cranes. Test loading is the most definitive method for determining the load capacity of any given system. Particular emphasis is placed on the performance of the dynamic conditions of the crane, checking the braking systems and mobility under working conditions. GRT certifies the weight of test loads with the use of hydraulic jacks and digital pressure gauges. |

SALVAGE GRT has the equipment and experience to tackle the complexities presented by salvage operations. With close ties in the commercial diving sector, GRT is able to offer assistance above and below the surface. Along with most of our gear, we are able to move to job locations and coordinate local contractors and equipment. For projects in and around Vancouver, we have a barge crane that is capable of lifting 250 Ton, useful for raising or stabilizing loads. |
