TAKE THE LOAD OFF YOUR MIND

SELF-CLIMBING JACKS

Our self-climbing jack system has become the corner stone of our business. These compact units can be shipped anywhere, and have a lifting capacity of 200 tons a piece. As shown in the simulation below, the jacks lift at 4" intervals, after which they are re-set atop a new layer of hardwood. This system allows us to lift loads to heights of 20' (6m), and above if necessary.

HYDRAULIC DOLLY

GRT uses 50 ton hydraulic transportation dollies to move modules weighing up to 4000-tons. Our dollies are shipped around the world in containers, are quick to assemble, and perform well under adverse conditions. We use self-powered and self-steering dollies, in addition to the basic towed dolly pictured below. GRT has configured arrangements of up to 48 units, using carefully charted paths for movements in restricted areas.

SKID GEAR

As an international company, Global Rigging & Transport has over 5000 tons of skidding capacity, with equipment strategically located throughout the world. As with all of GRT's equipment, the skid systems are containerized for easy shipment. The skid gear is designed to spread the load over a larger area, reducing the stress on the structure of the facility.

BALLAST SYSTEMS

Global Rigging and Transport undertakes many projects that involve ballast operations. As a result, we purchased a fully containerized ballast system with a total capacity of 7600-tons per hour. GRT provides customers with an engineered ballast plan for loading and unloading project cargo, the ballast technicians, and all ballast equipment for making the loading and unloading a smooth operation.

CONTAINERIZED TRANSPORT TRUSS SYSTEM (CTTS)

The GRT truss system has been specifically designed for the land transport of container cranes weighing up to 2000 tons. The system is made up of two trusses that are designed to span from the landside sill beam across to the waterside sill beam for cranes with a rail gauge of up to 100’. Each truss is made up of 15 main components and designed to be shipped inside standard containers for easy mobilization and demobilization. Each truss can be fully erected in a remote area, away from terminal traffic. Once completely erected, the truss is then transported on its own wheels and installed under the crane to be moved, thereby limiting downtime and disruption to normal port activities.

250 TON FLOATING CRANE
(VANCOUVER, BC)

Global Rigging and Transport operates a crane barge for specialized projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Used largely for loading and unloading specialized cargo, we also use the crane for salvage operations. In addition to our inventory of shackles, slings, and rigging supplies, we have developed a unique spreader system that takes two variable length spreader bars and connects them to make one unit capable of lifting 250 tons. If your job is in or around the water, we have the crane to help you out.

ROD LIFTER / PULLER

GRT has developed two systems that utilize 500 Ton hydraulic cylinders to either lift or pull heavy loads. These systems are compact and are extremely useful in locations where crane access is difficult or not available. We have used these systems on a variety of projects including raising crane superstructures and salvage operations.
